Rationale for US gun control = crime in Mexico..?
Mexico's crime problem shall doubtless warrant gun registration and confiscation here, out of concern for other members of the "North American Community." How very convenient.

Re: Rationale for US gun control = crime in Mexico..?
MEXICO CITY - Mexico's top organized crime prosecutor has called on U.S. officials to do more to halt illegal weapons trafficking to help Mexico stem a wave of bloody, drug-fueled violence.
Jose Luis Santiago Vasconcelos, in remarks Thursday, said the rising brutality of recent drug executions was due to hit men taking over cartels after their bosses were arrested. "It's foreseeable that this type of violence will continue like this," Santiago Vasconcelos told a small group of foreign reporters, "because the Mexican government will never make any deals" with drug gangs. "We know that there is a large amount of arms traffic ... in the United States, that they have to bring under control," Santiago Vasconcelos said. "There's this incredibly big black market that has to be controlled." "The last time we spoke with (U.S. officials), we told them ... 'If these types of weapons weren't flowing through, they'd have to use stones to attack each other,' " he said. He said Mexico also is troubled by increasing amounts of cocaine as well as small-scale heroin shipments arriving from Venezuelan airports. This guy says that the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT WILL NEVER MAKES DEALS WITH DRUG GANGS. He's probably correct. Bribery from drug gangs on the other hand so they all look the other way is OK I guess. This diatribe from a country whose culture thinks kidnapping is a viable profession is laughable. And this guy is incorrect when he says there is a large 'black market' in weapons in the US. MOST of our firearms are bought and sold LEGALLY here in this country. Now if MEXICAN CITIZENS who are in the US illegally purchase firearms illegally and then smuggle them back to Mexico, that's THEIR problem, not ours. To blame the US for the firearms smuggled into THEIR country is rich. Why don't THEY just stop all the SMUGGLING into their country and THIS PROBLEM would not exist? They can seem to keep out 'illegal aliens' from their country pretty well, but can't control the firearms going in or the drugs going out? HELLO, what ELSE do you think comes in from Venezualean airports besides HEROIN? WEAPONS... From the middle east, from the far east, YES from the US, but we are only one small piece of the puzzle that makes up the MANY suppliers to drug cartels for weapons. This is the UN backed 'small arms program' where NO ONE is allowed weapons but the country's military and police. Not citizens. They had a vote in either Argentina or Venezula last year (this year? - memory is the first to go). WHERE it is more difficult to own a firearm LEGALLY than it is in New York. They bombarded the citizenry with PR for several months. ALL the top government officials were for banning outright ownership of firearms. ALL the TV stars (which are like our movie stars) were for banning firearms. THEN the populace voted and they voted 2/3 to 1/3 to KEEP private ownership of firearms. The UN was beside itself. So now I guess they think that if they start with Mexico blaming the US for all their crime, they will then have a leg to stand on when they try to ban ownership of firearms here. EXPECT CANADA to sign onto this push to 'rid the North American continent' of all those dangerous weapons. The ONLY PEOPLE OUR FIREARMS ARE DANGEROUS TO ARE CRIMINALS. WHICH INCLUDE ALL POLITICIANS. AND MEDIA. |
